La la la.

In life, one makes many mistakes--so do I. Well, here are some things that I really regret – because things could have been better if only I had made a good move/decision. Continue reading if you want to know more.

1. Piano.

Well. Uh. Piano. I’m learning to play the piano now. NOW. Why now? Well, my skills aren’t that good. I’m already 14 and I think I’m still a noob with it. I’m a classical piano player, not a chord pianist (not even a uido*!. but I wish I would become one). When I sit on the chair and play the piano, I always remember the time when I was 8 years old. It was vacation time (year 2002). Since I had to do nothing that time, my parents asked me what i wanted to do to kill the summer heat and boredom in me. “Since it’s hot, I would take ice skating lessons! Yea!”, I said. “Ooh. Okay. Well. What if you take piano lessons?” my dad replied. I thought about it for a day and REALLY DECIDED to take ice skating lessons.

Conclusion:

I should have been better in playing the piano now if only i had taken those piano lessons when i was young. Well, it wasn’t a big regret after all—since I’ve enjoyed and learned in the whole ice skating course.

**uido – a person who can figure out notes of a song just by listening to it.

2. Sci-Contest. (September 20, 2008)

So far, this is the biggest thing that i regret in my life. “What is the study of insects?”. 5….. 4…. 3… 2.. 1. Go! The contestants jotted down their answers in the bond paper provided to them. “Ok! answers up!”. One by one the contestants raised their papers. The judges checked their answers. S01* correct, S02 correct, S03 Correct , S04 WRONG.

*S01. The S stands for Sophomore and the 01 is on what chair you’re seated. (01 is in the first in the front).

S04. That was my number. Guess what I answered?

Study of insects (for me) is ENTEMOLOGY.
I should have gotten a higher place if and only if:
a.) I had read more about the biology book that I have. (because two of the questions in the hard portion were written there! One was: What is the scientific name of the organism that is also known as the sulphur pearl of/from the Namibia Sea?)
b.) I had answered that study of insects thingy CORRECTLY!. Yea!

Found in my cabinets. Well, I think I should treasure this forever.

(Found this in my old blog, posted way back april 21, 2009. Since there was this force that made me post this here)

First Day in the Review Center.

heh, so I decided to post a 2nd one, now this is at least more sensible than my previous post.

So we decided to attend review classes. Yesterday (yes, it's already 1:36am in the clock) was our first day in the said class.

I arrived at around 12:50pm, and our classes would start at 1pm. So when I arrived at the lobby, many students were already there. I wonder what they're busy talking about.
So we heard that the MWF pm class was divided to three sections, A B and C, and heh, my class is C, and our room is located at the roofdeck.

Since almost everyone was already there, I just sat at the nearest chair I've seen. And god damn it, it's beside the aircon unit. When we arrived they were already answering their books. So we decided to catch up to what they've been doing.

Science 101.

Instructor: He looks decent, and speaks fluently. I like how he explains science concepts. Though I had to disagree with some of his statements (argh, I haven't yet found a teacher whom I completely agree with) I would have liked him more if he only had a nicer handwriting.

He started discussing at around 1:30pm - 3:00pm

3:00pm - 3:15pm
Break time

We went to mcdo to buy some food.

Math 101.

Instructor: A chinese man who teaches as if Sir sumil were alive and teaching with us yesterday.

Basic Math, Algebra, I pretty much understood everything, except for that one question/problem that was about Interest. When I've checked the time and seen that it's already 4:50pm, my mind started to fly off and count down the few remaining minutes of our cold, bloody 4-hour review.

So a sudden burst of energy filled me in when the instructor said that "okay guys you could go now".

And I think I could go now.

Behold. I'm bored.

I'm actually not bored, it's just that I have nothing to do now and I'm still not yet feeling sleepy. I don't care if people are actually reading my posts or are even visiting here, all I do care about is that I post what I like to post here.

So things happen. I wonder why I keep on comparing myself to others.
Why are they ****** than me? And why am I ********* than him/her?
Why do they keep on *********, while I don't?

Hah. Can't I just be myself? Or it's only me. What. No way.

or maybe you could just give me something to do. Something that's worth doing, so that I'd stop being like this?
  • Watch a movie? Nah, I've already thought of watching Johnny English but then I'm too lazy to restart my laptop.
  • Sleep? Not yet sleepy.
  • Stop thinking too much? I guess, I've already tried doing so and I guess I succeeded for this day.
  • Stop typing this? Oh no, I won't.
  • Talk to someone? I've also thought of doing that, but then I don't feel like talking to these people who are still online atm.
So what do you think I should do?

Haaaaaah. So i'd just be super random here. Oh what. Nobody cares about my posts anyway, lol.

My name is Charisse C. Palad,
is 15 years old
is an incoming 4th year high school student
Worries too much on what university she should go to.
Worries too much about the future.

I guess I could. Oh geez I should stop here before someone calls the police.

found this story in some blog, and i wanted to share this.

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce.
She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that everyday for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning.. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife’s divorce conditions.. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully..

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time.. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead.. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

If you don’t share this, nothing will happen to you.

If you do, you just might save a marriage.

Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

Hi Mr. Apple! I'm quite disappointed with your new baby.

Over the past decades Apple has been making all these supah ossum (lolwot) mobile devices for us. Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, claims that his company is a larger mobile devices company than Sony, Samsung, etc. (Well I do damn agree, except for those bitter people <_<)

Oh well, back to the story. All this time i've been expecting a tablet computer from Apple. (sounds pretty sweet, eh?) So that i could play osu! in a real tablet. (Eh, not only because of that, but because i've long waited to have a tablet. It'd be a whole new experience to use a tablet.) Maybe by this time you'll be asking me: "Why don't you go for a cheaper tablet?". Simple. I don't want to waste my money with less expensive tablets. (or should i say, my parents' money). Probably because i'm the go-for-the-best person. Even my parents are ones. Our family usually goes for the best quality products. (tho it might be a bit tough on the budget.)

I've just visited the Apple site. (I see it everyday, because it's my default home page here in safari)

See for yourself:

Just looking at the features, it really made me disappointed. Why?

9"x10"x.5" is waaaaay too small for a tablet pc.
What?! Glass screen? how on earth am i going to play osu! on this?!
Huh?! No stylus included??!
And most of all. I was expecting a Mac* not an enlarged version of iPhone.

Mac - computer that runs Macintosh OS X Snow Leopard, and may run Bootcamp (a program that makes windows usable on the same machine)

Uff. <_<

Oh well, I've found a music sheet of Owen was her,
It's really easy to learn, (if you know the song) but it would be easier for you to learn if you can sight-read well.

Here's the music sheet for owen was her:
